Copper peptide serum (GHK-Cu)

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper peptide found in human plasma. In skincare it is used to support the skin's own repair — firmness, evenness and barrier strength — without the irritation that comes with strong acids.

What copper peptides do

GHK-Cu is a signal peptide: it does not scrub, peel or bleach. It tells the skin to do more of what it already does — produce collagen and elastin, and repair the barrier after damage.

Because it works with the skin rather than against it, GHK-Cu suits sensitive skin that cannot tolerate retinol or acids daily.

Does the percentage matter?

Yes, but more is not better. Most published work sits between 1% and 2%. Our serum uses 2%, which is high enough to matter and low enough to stay comfortable twice a day.

Beware of products that advertise 'copper peptides' without stating a percentage — the peptide is expensive, and unstated usually means minimal.

What to expect, week by week

Weeks 1–2: skin feels more hydrated and calmer. Weeks 4–6: tone looks more even and makeup sits better. Weeks 8–12: firmness and fine lines show the clearest change.

Copper peptides are a long game. Consistency beats intensity — twice a day, every day, beats a strong treatment once a week.

Layering with other actives

Pairs well with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, ceramides and sunscreen. Apply the serum to damp skin, then moisturiser.

Avoid applying copper peptides in the same layer as strong vitamin C or exfoliating acids — use them at opposite ends of the day instead.

2% GHK-Cu in one bottle

Our Copper Peptide Repairing Serum combines 2% GHK-Cu with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide — one step instead of three.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use copper peptides with retinol?

+

Yes, but not in the same layer. Many people use copper peptides in the morning and retinol at night, which keeps both effective and the skin comfortable.

Is GHK-Cu safe for sensitive skin?

+

Generally yes. It is non-exfoliating and barrier supporting, which is why it is often recommended when acids and retinoids are too harsh.

How long until I see results?

+

Hydration within days, tone in 4–6 weeks and firmness after 8–12 weeks of consistent daily use.
